Thanks for getting this far!
My journey to a PhD has not been a linear progression! I completed my BSc in Pure Mathematics at Swansea University, then spent 7 years in the Civil Service developing skills in research development, Agent Based Modelling and statistical analysis. I started my MSc in Military Operational Research, however eventually realised that this wasn't the career for me. After some soul searching, I went back to university to study for my BSc Physiotherapy, graduating in 2013. I worked as a Physiotherapist in a number of different NHS trusts across London and the South East. The call back to research was a strong one; when I happened upon a twitter call for applications to the all new NIHR Pre-doctoral Clinical Academic Fellowship programme, I jumped at the chance.
I completed my Pre-doctoral fellowship and now I am on a Doctoral Fellowship programme funded by Bart's Charity. I am pursuing my PhD in Bayesian Networks for Low back pain at Queen Mary University of London. |
